CHANGAN Automobile, one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, has officially announced the start of sales in the markets of Serbia and the Western Balkans. Through a partnership with the authorized importer, Crossroad Asia, a member of the OMR Group, the new electric SUV models – DEEPAL S07 and DEEPAL S05 – have been introduced. With this move, Serbia and the region become part of the strategic expansion map of one of the most prominent Chinese automotive brands.
“By signing a direct agreement with Changan, the OMR Group has become one of the regional leaders in the automotive industry. I would like to thank Mr. Leevon Tian and the entire Changan team, who worked with our team and provided a high level of professional support to make this cooperation possible,” stated Ostoja Mijailović, President of the OMR Group.
Customers can now schedule test drives of the S05 and S07 models at the Ada Motors showroom at 22 Radnička Street in Belgrade. Additionally, starting November 21, a new Changan showroom – BM Motors Savograd – will open in the Sava Business Center at 5B Milentija Popovića Street in New Belgrade, offering even greater accessibility and an enhanced experience for customers exploring Changan vehicles.
Buyers across the region are increasingly recognizing the value of Chinese automotive brands due to an excellent balance of price, quality, and technology, emphasized Dejan Stupar, Executive Director of the Automotive Division of the OMR Group.
“We have seen that Changan offers modern design – the product of their design center in Turin – technology that rivals premium brands, and uncompromising safety backed by a seven-year warranty. We are building our market strategy in two parallel directions. On one hand, we are focusing on electric and electrified vehicles through the Deepal lineup, specifically the S05 and S07 models. These models will be available both as fully electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, giving customers the freedom to choose the technology that best matches their habits and infrastructure. On the other hand, we will also offer gasoline models such as the CHANGAN CS55, and soon CS35 and UNI-T, completing our range for more traditional buyers,” stated Dejan Stupar.
Leevon Tian, Deputy General Manager of the CHANGAN Europe Business Unit, said: “We are delighted to bring our DEEPAL models and gasoline-powered CHANGAN vehicles to consumers in the Balkans, responding to their demand for quality, technology, and value. Partnering with a strong local player such as the OMR Group makes this launch even more significant, and we look forward to building long-term connections with customers throughout the region.”

CHANGAN is implementing its “In Europe for Europe” strategy, with a strong focus on local development and customer-oriented operations across the continent. With over 20 years of continuous presence in Europe, the company operates a Design Center in Turin (Italy) and a Research & Development Center in Birmingham (United Kingdom), dedicated to design, development, adaptation, and training tailored to the European market.
The CHANGAN DEEPAL S07 is a premium all-electric D-segment SUV with a range of 475 km (WLTP), powered by a 79.97 kWh battery. The model features rear-wheel drive, 218 hp (160 kW), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
The CHANGAN DEEPAL S05 represents a dynamic and more accessible e-SUV, with a range of 485 km (WLTP) in the RWD version and an LFP 69 kWh battery. It is available with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), with the top version offering 435 hp and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
To ensure peace of mind in everyday driving, CHANGAN offers highly competitive warranty terms: an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty on the high-voltage battery and a 7-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty.
Both CHANGAN models are available immediately, and first customer deliveries will begin in December. Test drives of the S05 and S07 can be scheduled at the Ada Motors showroom. Additionally, starting November 21, a new Changan showroom – BM Motors Savograd – will open in the Sava Business Center, providing customers with even greater accessibility and an enhanced experience with Changan vehicles.
In the coming period, the dealership network will expand to major cities across the Western Balkans – Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Podgorica, Skopje, and Tirana.
